Have you ever heard this song? I'm sure you have. It's been played on the radio numerous times and even played on channels such as MTV and VH1 in the mornings. If you listen to the lyrics of this song for the first time, they might not make any sense. But to each his own and everyone has their own interpretation of music. I totally agree with you. Worse still, sometimes artists (shakira, rammstein come to mind) translate their songs into english, but the words are very different. In fact, as with the english version of Rammstein's Du hast, it sometimes is 100% different.

Or take shakira's hit whenever, wherever. The Spanish version is called Suerte...Which is not even similar to whenever, wherever.

I think that some things do need to be translated, such as poems and novels, but that is because they do not have that music accompanying it. I agree with you. I'll go listen to that song ;]
