Festivids 2011 vid #6: Jailbreak (to the original Star Wars trilogy, for colls)

Making all these vids over my Christmas vacation was so much fun that I didn't want to stop. So when I saw the last round of pinch hits go up, I knew I wanted to grab this one.

I really enjoyed this vid ... fast-paced and fun, and you really make the lyrics of Jailbreak look like a natural fit. I've not given it much thought until now, but there really are two threads running through SW, as you say: the rebellion and the whole Joseph Campbell-inspired Jungian one. I never minded the latter, but this vid really unpicks the two threads and focusses on the former.

I like the lightsaber/guitar sync at the beginning, although there were lots of nice syncs throughout.

Why no Jar Jar Binks though? Just kidding ... completely agree with your travesty rant.

P.S. No Ewoks were harmed in the making of this vid ... why? ;)
