Just UGH

Because of a series of threat letters, doujin events and such having Kuroko no Basuke things have been cancelled. Comiket 83 has prohibited all Kuroko no Basuke-related circles from participating. Jump Festa 2012 has cancelled the Kuroko no Basuke Super Stage event and all exhibits and the sale of goods have been cancelled ( Read more... )

I hope that they catch this person soon. I know the mangaka has said that he won't stop writing the series, but aside from death threats escalating, it could push back second season and other things. It sucks so hard.

I'm glad he's not going to stop writing the series, but all of that pressure and stress is not needed for him. The second season hasn't been announced yet, has it?

ALL of the suckage, right here. =.=

I've seen rumors that we're getting an OVA of Teiko time in April/May. I think when the first season was starting to wind down there were rumors of a second season for next fall/winter. I want to say darkelfgrl had found confirmation, but I might be making that up.

(I got a new phone # I'm texting you now.)

What the heck? Someone has a hate on for an anime about basketball? WHY?

If you google around, you can see what's going on. From what I've seen, it's a grudge against the author more than it is about the anime/manga. Unless that's referring to only a set of the threat letters.

It's a shame that they bowed to the threats, but from a legal and security standpoint I can see why it's happened. At least the whole event wasn't canceled. I can't see certain circles having much love for Comiket after this though. Hopefully they'll catch the culprit soon.

I wonder how they'll fill all the empty space. From what I heard it was over 900 circles or something.

Yeah, it could go both ways - because they cancelled, it opens up the window for more threats to come in, but at the same time, you don't want the threats to come true either. Between a rock and a hard place.

I think I would have cried so many tears if they cancelled it when I would be in the country. T__T

Coming in third for the highest circle count at the event. So so so so crazy! I will have to have a friend order the ones I had wanted from the event if they get put up for sale somewhere.

>< Still angry about threat letters sender(s).

It's certainly a really tricky situation. I feel sorry for everyone involved (save for the culprits of course). I hope you can find the doujins elsewhere!

I'm currently on the look out for new circles of Utapri artists to buy from >.< There's too much choice. Which KnB pairings were you looking to buy for? :D

I'm sure I will - hopefully while I'm there so I don't have to trouble my friend and have to pay for shipping.

Yeaaahhhh loooooots of choices there. I usually save my favorite artists on pixiv and buy from them if I really like something ('cause I can't read them, I end up going for the art value).

KnB-wise, the Takao/Midorima or Midorima/Takao artists are real good and I had all of their booths saved so I could find them easy when I got there. My favorite pairing is Midorima/Kise or Kise/Midorima and Imayoshi/Aomine, but those doujin are very rare. I was planning on getting one or two Aomine/Kise ones.

He's mine too! I love that combination of a darker skin tone with his hair color. NGL I'm a big Ren/Masato fan too.

:D I like his suave and charming personality with that alluring voice. And he's got nice eyes <3 He's one of the very few characters I like with long hair.

Oh yeah, Ren/Masato - my favorite! Natsuki/Sho is one of my favorites too.

Was listening to Utapuri music today - Kishou Taniyama's voice akf;ajf;safjkasfjs

It's really sad. This has been going on for a long time! Last time I read an update saying they had caught someone... but now it sounds like they probably haven't? Since the threats are still happening...

I haven't heard about it until today, but I haven't been checking out anime news in weeks so ;-;

This type of stuff makes me both angry and sad. There were two armed robberies on the campus of my university the other day and it's like "Wtf, really?" because it's a safe campus. =.=

I really hope that this doesn't stress the mangaka out too much. It must be really stressing getting this kind of response and having fans get put into a dangerous spot just for liking the series.
