I just ordered 100 US bucks worth of Argentine pesos and it translated into the same amount that I'll be paying for a *full week* in a private double room with a balcony at a hostel in San Telmo. The hostel manager wanted to know if I'd need a "matrimonial bed".

My mother and I drove to Atlanta on Saturday evening to see a charity performance given by Sweet Honey in the Rock. She thanked me endlessly, saying that the tickets were the best Christmas present she'd ever gotten. I just printed out a series of O Rly? owls to decorate my office door. I can't turn around without giggling. My eventual goal is to desensitize myself to owls.

This afternoon we're making marble magnets. Since I think they're really cool, I'm quite sure the teens will find them boring. That's the usual run of things.

Due to my work schedule and the_hawk's study schedule, we have to spend this V Day apart. The plan was to have dinner at the same restaurant (in different zip codes) on our cell phones, but we've let that idea slide in favor of a bigger anniversary celebration in April.
