haven't been to China yet but my trip to Vietnam was most definitely a culture enlightment. the people were extra friendly and willing to help as much as they can. they tend to go out of their way to direct you to your destination and all you need to do is give them a buck and they're so grateful. i spent less than $7 on a meal for 7 in Hue. Hong Kong would be nice to visit though.

Yes, I loved it in Vietnam. A little dirty, a little loud but the people and country made up for it. I actually didn't go to Hue. We ran out of time so flew from Danang to Hanoi. For $7 which is 100,000 dong you can eat pretty well. HK is brilliant but be prepared for a price jump.

Thanks. It was just tough (and embarassing) being Chinese and in China and being unable to communicate.

I think that's a pretty sweet talent actually. I'd love to go to a place like Basta Pasta and be able to order in both Italian and Japanese.
