I was watching the news last night and they had a story on the local animal shelters and how they have too many kittens and kitties and will have to put a bunch of them to sleep. And they showed little kittens that looked like Oscar when he was little, and then they showed a picture of a big kitty that looked almost exactly like Oscar. I started ( Read more... )

I love Yasmin- haven't had any problems with it (although to be fair, it wasn't nearly as regular as the ortho tri that I was on- 10am every 4th Tuesday! But I didn't notice a difference between ortho tri cyclin and tri-norynil or however it's spelled). It uses an alternate hormone that theoretically doesn't bring with it all of those extra fun stuff.

For kitties... my vote would be to spend a little extra and get him a microchip. Any shelter can read it, and a collar could fall off (my cats took their own off no matter how tight), be taken off, or get a kitty in trouble if it catches on something. A chip is expensive, but I think it's safer. If you do get him a collar, don't put his name on it- just your phone number. That way if someone finds him they can't persuade him by using his name. Certainly more of an issue with dogs, but you never know. That's just what I've heard on animal shows and such.

Yasmin made me nauseous and sleepy. But I suppose that's just horomones in general. I'm going to talk to my doctor about the Nuvaring tomorrow...and maybe IUDs. I'm not sure. Right now I'm just feeling...weird about all of it. I want to be on something, but I've just started feeling somewhat normal again now that I'm on NOTHING.
