ever have something happen that has to be more than chance? one of those things that's so weird it sends a tingle up your spine? one time when i was younger, my mother was baking bread, and she took off her wedding ring so it didn't get covered in dough. she made the bread, baked the bread, then went to put it back on, but it had vanished. she tore apart the kitchen, then the house, then she literally tore apart the bread thinking that it must have fallen in. she couldn't find it at all.
that night, i had a dream that i was looking around the kitchen. for some reason, i just grabbed the stove and picked it right up (it was a dream). the ring was right there, wedged into the right side along the stove. i was really happy, but then when i woke up, i realized that it was a dream and that the ring was still missing. i knew that i had only been dreaming, but i figured that i'd try to check around the stove.
i got my dad to (begrudgingly) help me pull the stove out of the space in the counter (way harder than in dream land). sure enough, the ring was there, in the general area that i had dreamed it would be.
i'm still looking for my wallet though. the reason i decided to post the story was because when i asked my mom for help looking for it, she said "well you're the one that's good at finding things... remember that time you found my ring?"
