Don't H8te on Me

Lesson learned: carry the digital camera in my bag from now on.

I don't think taxing the Mormon church on its own will accomplish much, but as part of a broader effort in opposition of the passion of Prop 8, I think it is significant and important. What they did is illegal, and if they're going to spend that much money on a political campaign without getting taxed for it, I firmly believe they need to be punished and that California and the rest of the U.S. needs to be aware of what they did.

I'm going through my 3PM slump, so excuse me if I make no sense...

I think there should be laws limiting out-of-state donations from such organizations. If I make any sense, this also raises the question on state sovereignty. It was no other states' business to get involved with CA's issue. (Gay Marriage never should have been an issue, in the first place.)

Being somewhat pre-law myself, I should look at this more carefully. Makes me want to get involved with the legal aspect. I wouldn't mind throwing the book (literally) at a Mormon's face. Just sayin'!!!

In defense of the latin community. The vote broke down 50/50 for them. Pretty much the same as the rest of California. Blacks however voted for it by a margin of 2/3's.

I don't think blaming the entire Mormon religion is helpful either. There were definately "architects" among the Mormon Church that deserve retribution, but to blame an entire people for the actions of a few isn't right. Kill 'em with kindness.
