What the fuck.

Who put this here?

[What you are currently seeing, Keep, is a giant snowman placed right in front of Kloe's door, blocking her way out.]

This better not be another pumpkin thing.

How the fuck did someone even--

[Kloe starts smashing her way through the snowman with her foot (oh jeeze cold) before the video cuts out.]

[He's been exploring the barracks recently because if everything's true and he's going to be here for a while, he's damn well going to know where he's expected to live. Which is when he hears a voice he recognizes from the journal.]

[Suffice to say, a man-shaped pile of snow with a foot sticking out of it is not what he expected when he turned the corner.]

...Bishop?

Who's that?

[Kloe kicks at more of the snow, knocking half of the snowman over onto the ground.]

Who the fuck are you?

Fenris. We- [He skirts around some of the snow now strewn about the hallway as he approaches. Bare feet don't like snow.] -spoke through the.. journal.

[He hopes that doesn't sound as weird as it was to say.]

[She thought the voice was familiar.]

Oh, right. Hi.

What was this doing in front of your door?

[Because he may have no idea what a snowman is but he's pretty sure that it shouldn't be stacked up inside.]

My asshole neighbor put it there as "company".

[A vaguely amused sound.] You have an industrious neighbor.

[Seriously. Fourth floor. Snow. Still, he'll have to keep it in mind. Y'know, for his own asshole neighbor. Anything to make Anders' life more difficult to live.]

Do you... want assistance clearing it away?

[He wouldn't normally offer, but, well, she seems to have an attitude he can appreciate and that's worth a moment of his time at least.]

That'd be great. I don't want it melting everywhere and end up causing an injury.

[No one would want to stick around and let her treat them, probably.]

[Her wording gets half a moment of consideration before he nods.]

Agreed. I don't suppose there's a bucket or perhaps even a bowl on hand? You'll be here all night trying to do it by hand.

There's a basin in my room, I'll get it.

[Kloe disappears back inside momentarily and returns with the basin and a few cloths.]

Let's get started.

[And get started they do. Each time they pack the basin as full of snow as they can, Fenris takes up the duty of carrying it to where ever they can dump it out. Which, unless Kloe happens to know someone who has a window in their room, means a lot of walking up and down the stairs. Oh well.]

I take it you're a practicing doctor, Bishop?

[Small talk: he can manage it when the need arises. Hawke would be proud.]

Of course. And what are you?

[She didn't mean to sound rude, it just kind of comes out that way sometimes.]

[The tone doesn't bother him. Or even if it does, he doesn't make a show of it.]

I don't know.

"Escaped slave" is hardly a profession. Before I arrived, I was on the cusp of ensuring my freedom, but even if I'd succeeded... [He shrugs a little.] I hadn't given it much thought. "I don't know" seems an appropriate answer.
