So....That Worked Out Well

Mar 29, 2010 20:06

Back in January, I boldly declared that I had returned to LJ "for real" for real and vowed to post regularly going forward.  Now here I am at least a good 8 weeks later sheepishly looking at a blank screen.  Oh well, better late than not at all right?

I've had a lot of random stuff swimming around in my mind lately with no real place to let them ( Read more... )

life, randomness, lj, entertainment, shopping, annoyances

Funny story. Yesterday, we went to the SE Texas State Fair and saw the most awesomely awesome two exhibits next to each other:

Exhibit #1: ABORTION IS TEH EVIL. PLZ to be having a plastic baby that looks nothing like a fetus! Cha-CHING!
Exhibit #2: Oooh! BIG KNIVES!

It made me chortle. :)

That's priceless!

I guess they didn't place that too well. Or maybe the event organizers have a sick sense of humor!

Ugh, I hate demonstrations like that. We have a few clinics by my house, and it's just ridiculous. And the worst (at least to me) is that all of these people who are protesting have probably had biological kids instead of adopting. If they want women to stop having abortions, where do they think the babies will go? Stupid stupid stupid.

I love almond smells, too. I love Jergens cherry-almond lotion.

Okay?!

It's not as if they follow up with these ladies months later to find out if they are doing well and if the babies are being properly cared for. I guess it's okay to traumatize/harass/bully people in the name of religion.

:: grrrr :::

And oooh...I'm going to go looking for that Jergens!

Since when do your beliefs get to trump my right to be left the hell alone?

I swear, if you figure out the formula for this, please do share. I'd really like to know when I can tell people that it's not their time to share their opinions.

I'm saying!

I am so sick and tired of people getting away with all types of foolishness in the name of free speech!

I bite my tongue all the time, not because I'm afraid to state my beliefs, but in the interest of living in a productive and harmonious society. And I also recognize the fact that not everyone on the planet is interested in my opinion. That's what LJ is for! (LOL)

TOTALLY hear ya on the cluster-bugging of demonstrators. UGH.

Also, don't feel bad; I wanted to start posting regularly back in October and here I yam again! LOL.

And, I love when I get almond soap in hotels. Do you like coconut-scented things, too?

I love cosmetics and makeup that smell like food...

*lathers on Nacho cheese...*

LOL @ the nacho cheese. I'm not quite willing to take it that far. I do love coconut scents though.

The almond thing is funny though because I don't really think almonds actually smell like "almond scented" things, but maybe I just never paid it that much attention.
