He couldn’t really explain the draw of Lee Donghae. No matter how much he tried to run away, no matter how much he tried to look at someone else, he would eventually return in the end.
Donghae never needed to worry about Eunhyuk. They could be apart for a year or two, he doing Super Junior M activities, Eunhyuk doing Super Junior T schedules in two different countries and they’d still return to each other in the end.
When they reunite for the Korean Album, Eunhyuk is glad to see Donghae again. He restrains himself, very much unlike Eeteuk or Shindong who try to hug as many people as they can with a single embrace (of course Shindong is better at it) but waits until they are alone in the dorm to talk to Donghae. Eunhyuk goes up from his 11th storey dormitory as Yesung and Ryeowook have occupied the living room and had immediately engaged in intense snogging, to make up for the year apart.
Eunhyuk speculates that SM just wanted to break apart the couples, him and Hae, Yesung and Ryeowook, Hankyung and Heechul, but he remains jealous that the Kangteuk couple managed to escape his
He knows that Donghae will excuse himself from his late hyung’s late night drinking because he simply can’t take the alcohol and he will have Donghae all to himself.
When Donghae sees Eunhyuk, he begins to tear. “Hold on hyung,” he says, as though this was not normal. But it was and Eunhyuk knew. He pulled Donghae to the couch and rested Donghae on his lap, allowing his tears to flow freely, wetting his denim skinnies. Eunhyuk stroked Donghae’s cheek and waited for the sobs to subside.
The dorm was completely silent save for the in-sync breathing of the two men that reverberated through the dark night.
“I missed you.”
And he smiles as though this was what he had been waiting to hear. Eunhyuk bend down and plants a light kiss on the corner of Donghae’s lips in response. But Donghae sits up and frowns at his hyung. “I want to hear you say it.”
“I missed you too.”
That is enough to satisfy Donghae whose face lights up with delight. Eunhyuk leans in for another kiss but Donghae is distracted by Eunhyuk’s new hairstyle and begins fondling with his fringe.
This causes Eunhyuk to become frustrated and he jumps Donghae, pinning him to the couch. And they relive the old times.
