My power has been out since thursday night. It really sucks for many reasons, the main ones being that its winter in Canada and freezing cold out. It snowed last night! My phone doesnt work, we have no hot water, and my cat is so cold that I have to boil water to put into a water bottle for her. And you can imagine how incredibly boring it is. Joel

Why is the power out? That is really bad, especially in these conditions! I hope they have it back on for you soon. Stay warm and try not to get sick! Our birthday is coming soon!

The power was out because we had the strongest winds ever recorded on the west coast last thursday. I slept through the whole thing, but in some parts of Vancouver they say 6 out of 10 trees were uprooted. I guess this is what caused the power out. It was out for 4 days!

But I survived! After awhile I grew used to it.. listening to an old clock radio and having dinner by candlelight.

Jada, if you ever want to borrow free wireless internet and a hot shower, and TV, and other electronically-inclined activities, you're always welcome to come over to our place. The storm barely touched our neighbourhood, and we don't have snow at all...for once.
