You know it's funny... the friends of mine whom consider themselves among the most openminded of people are in fact the most shortsighted people I know. I understand that some of them like to be original and completely unprecidented. But it makes no sense to declare yourself openminded if you dislike everyone and everything that isn't original and ( Read more... )

I completely agree. It's like that old saying, "the true wise man is he who declares he knows nothing." if you SAY you're something, like "open-minded," it means you're trying to BE that thing. Sort of like a little self-reminder (or self-delusion), and a way to guide others into perceiving you that way. But when they prove not to be it's rather disappointing. :\

I agree to some extend and I will be humble enough to admit that at times I do create boundries but that's just human nature.

So basically, to be a non-conformist, you just have to dress like us and listen to the same music we do.

Anyways, you coming for brunch tomorrow? Marietta confirmed she talked to you about it.

Yeah, Im coming for brunch. Ive been looking up restaurants online but I'm having alot of trouble. Marietta said that you want to meet up after 2pm, but it seems that most downtown restaurants close around 2pm on sunday. I can find a few restaurants that are open until 3pm, such as the Alibi Room or Browns in Yaletown. But that's a really short lunch.

But if all else fails we can always do the cactus club or something. Besides, they have really yummy drinks. Marietta wanted me to call her at noon tomorrow to confirm where we are going. Do you have any ideas?

And afterwards I think we were planning to go to Daiso in richmond.. aka the coolest japanese store ever, where everything is only $2. It's the best store, you should totally come with us! Everything in there is super girly and cute.
