i kinda want to take a look at my credit rating...does anyone know a free website where i can view my credit rating and see where it's standing?

that they do, well, i know mine isn't TOO bad, i was able to rent an apartment despite my credit check, and he said there were SOME things there, but nothing that flagged me. i guess that's a relief.

I know alot about this sort of thing, its me job.

The FACT Act passed last year entitles every american citizen to 1 free credit report a year (actually 3, 1 from each bureau). I don't have the exact link, its kinda buried on the internet.

You have two types of inquiries. A soft pull (or look) and a hard pull.

You want to avoid doing a hard pull when checking your own credit and avoid giving your info to the wrong website, or you're gonna get your info sold. I would go with the government route. I'll find that link (otherwise I can pull yours for you if you really want, I got access right here).
