I work at the George. It's fun on a friday and saturday night. They haven't paid me right for two weeks in a row. I worked at the Grapes this weekend. I thought I was getting 4 shifts a week there. My name is Helene and I’m a PhD student at the University of Manchester. I’m conducting some research into young people who take gap years overseas, and I’ve been searching Livejournal for people who talk about gap years in their online journals. I’m hoping to find out a little more about why people take gap years, what they do on their gap years and what they get out of it.
