i LOVE BOTH YOUR OUTFITS. i actually gasped in delight at the sailor costume. it looks even better in this picture. but i really like whatever is poking out of your jacket in the other picture too. it's so autumn-ish. like what i wanted to wear this autumn but i don't own anything like it
( ... )
ami got that dupatta for me from northern pakistan! its all wool and so warm. so yea, there is a snobby section of montclair, but not so much the adults, the kids are snobby. ive talked to so many adults here and theyre all nice. i heard some kids from middle school boast about how much money they have in their bank accounts ($8000). i get made fun of and pointed at by the kids here and i freak them out by staring at them. i hate the kids here. i think if i grew up in the school system here i wouldnt like it either, but montclair is great to live in when youre independent from that and doing your own thing. i love the culture, atmosphere, and the shops, that might not be important to some pple tho, like that girl. and i understant white ghetto haha.
and montclair has a VERY UPPER CLASS section. like million dollar houses. up in the mountains two streets up from me there are MANSIONS. stephen colbert lives there. there are sections where i walk thru and its like a whole other world. like amazing houses not just big for nothing houses, like AMAZING historic houses. i was talking to a guy on the bus stop (again haha, this guy was older, the guy today was my age). and he was saying how scenes in montclair have scenes. that there are very high up pple here. but he said that montclair is diverse and open minded so its a good place to bring up kids (he has kids in school here) (but again, i think its the adults who are more open minded than the kids which is so funny cuz its usually the other way around)
ooo i remember stephen colbert's house being there. so i guess i see where she's coming from. she never went to college there. just high school and never ever wants to see nj again.
you are so cool for staring the kids down. i'm going to try it with some snobby kid some day.
