You say all these things as if you are surprised about them.

I originally wrote it for my own journal, and many of the people on my Friend-list have never had to put with "Abuse Team" abuse, so it's written as new information, which for them it is.

I debated for a couple of days before posting it here, as it's old news for anyone who has belonged to this community for any length of time, but I finally decided I wanted it in the record here in the event of a later "disappearance" of my journal.

Ultimately, though, what can you do? Honestly, it's LJ's site and if they want to play things this way there's nothing we can do about it but leave and go elsewhere.

Or keep on complaining.

Dude, it's LiveJournal. It's run by a bunch of egotistical kids with little or no oversight from a VC-funded company that acquired it for the sole purpose of plundering its features for their own products. Oh, and slapping up some Google ads so they might make a few bucks.

If you don't like LJ, pack up and move elsewhere. I did. Most people have already moved to MySpace and shit like that anyway. I don't like MySpace, and if you don't either, there's always Blogger (which is much better lately, btw) or WordPress (also good, especially if you host it yourself).

LJ's heyday is long over, and it's time to get the fuck out.

It think it's kind of a stretch to say there's a nipple visible in the rahaeli icon, and moreover a false analogy to compare a comic book still to an actual picture of a livejournal user breastfeeding.

But other than that, people have bitched about the hate communities for time immemorium, and have gotten nowhere.

And the bit about reporting possible suicide attempts that fall on deaf ears, if Six Apart assumes responsibility for something like that, then they set precedence for possible liability in the future; and how do you see every single post that might infer, imply or allude to suicide when you have nearly 11,000,000 accounts?

Why is LiveJournal's responsibility to policy these things?

And, uh, it's pretty evident that favoritism plays a big part in suspensions.
