That's how I felt when I read it, too. I was stunned to see that what I feel and deal with, even ten years later, is not the exception but perhaps the rule of emotional abuse. It's somehow, comforting, to see that I'm not alone and that I'm not 'insane'.
That really is a fabulous article. I'm handing a copy to everyone I know!
I particularly like how he connected the different forms of abuse. In the end, he's right - the mode didn't matter, it was all emotional at the core, just a different way of inflicting it.
