Can you hear it? Can you hear this sound? This beautiful, amazing sound? It's the sound of whenever one of your favorite writers writes the piece you didn't even know you wanted yet. It's like music but ever so much more lovely.
I've been watching Nashville from day one, and I love it because Connie Britton is simply perfect. And the story between Rayna and Deacon, is for me so epic because it's so strong, charged with their past and everything we didn't get to see, but just know it is there, which makes it even more palpable.
Most of all I just really like Rayna. She's such a strong, remarkable character despite being so very human.
And you've captured her so perfectly in this one piece.
In fact, you've captured everything there's to love about this tv show.
So I'm so glad you wrote this. And I don't know if you plan to write more to this fandom, but if you do, I'll probably be there to read it.
For now, thanks for this one.

I really enjoy Rayna and all of her complexities, so I am really glad that you liked this! I can't believe this fandom isn't bigger, but I am glad you are sticking around because I feel like I will probably write more. Although my muse seems to be taking me in the direction of a Juliet story next...

Thanks for reading! I really appreciate the feedback!

OHMY. That was insanely lovely and painful and beautiful. What an amazing Rayna fic!

They're all simply gorgeous, but section 6 - my heart.

Deacon watches her, and she watches him, and she can’t help but think about how most people think their history is something to be revered, but in reality, it is just something working against them at every turn.

GUH.

And I love so much that there was this undercurrent about Rayna/Deacon without this being Rayna/Deacon. She's so much more than this woman floating between men, and her finding herself and that peace despite the horrible pain of it... really really well done. Such a wonderful fic!!

Section six was probably the easiest for me to write because HELLO I AM SUCH A HUGE R/D FAN. Surprise? Yeah, didn't think so.

I really wanted this to be a story about Rayna, and her prolonging the inevitable let down that occurs right at the end of the story, so I'm glad that came through.

THANK YOU FOR READING <3333

This is amazing. I LOVE THIS SO MUCH. I have been looking for good Nashville fic for weeks and I couldn't find any, but this? This is *awesome*.

The characters are exactly that. Rayna is Rayna! I love that you have her sleep with Liam, because honestly? I think it's what she would do. Hide away from the world with the one thing she knows can't hurt her, because she doesn't care about him at all.

There were so many lines in there that I absolutely loved, but I think I'm going to highlight this one:

"After all, none of those love songs were ever about him, were they?"

Because yes. Exactly.

Also, I'm going to friend you, in case you post anymore awesome fic, and I don't find two recommendations on my flist in a row for them like I did for this!

Sadly, there is not ANY Nashville fic out there. Well, I am sure there are loads on FFN, but I haven't been that brave yet.

I think it's what she would do. Hide away from the world with the one thing she knows can't hurt her, because she doesn't care about him at all.

She so would & I think she will. She's going to keep moving and moving and moving until it hits her all at once, and it will make for lovely television because CB is a master.

Friending you back - if you don't mind?

Thank you for reading! I really appreciate the kind words.

I tried FFN. Don't do it :-P It's like there's two 12-year-olds writing and beta'ing each other's fics.

/judgemental

Friending is good! I need some Nashville fans haha.

FFN is awful! I tried to go over there, but nothing. I did post my story though, because the love Nashville gets on LJ is awful!

After all, none of those love songs were ever about him, were they?

YOU ARE A WIZARD.

And if you don't write Juliette fic I will cry.

I HAVE BEEN PLOTTING JULIETTE FIC IN MY HEAD FOR THE PAST TWO WEEKS. I am just struggling with some details.

Thanks for reading, Jess!

This was painful but so right. I'm glad you made it about Rayna, even if section 6 was my favourite. (I hope you write Rayna/Deacon fic in the future, I can't find any decent stuff anywhere!) I like your Deacon. I like that you gave words to his hopes and dreams. This was my favourite line: “I had a thousand and one different scenarios, but none of them were this. None of them involved us not facing it together.”

I AM SO GLAD YOU LIKED THIS. Also, how have we not talked about this show before???? Or have we?

There is an inkling for some five things fic for these two - maybe five things that happened to Rayna & Deacon. I've got a few already sitting in my head.

Thanks for reading!

We haven't! I know - how is that possible?? We must rectify this situation, because every week I have more feelings, and every week they show Deacon and Maddie together and just urghhh, it's going to get better and then it's going to get so much WORSE. (Also, I want to dislike Stacy but I can't because 1) Susan Misner is playing her, and 2) She's too nice so far to dislike.)

Yes please to the five times fic. Yes please to all the Rayna and Deacon fic.

I LIKE STACY. A LOT. I mean, she's a vet. She likes dogs. She hates country music. She is classy! But, man, I will not like watching her get her heart broken.

Fic is marinating. I'm hoping to get some writing done this weekend.
