Oh wow. That is a fascinating apocalyptic moment, that realization that everything has changed.

Very nice. The image of Sam's hand on the glass is lovely. The wires brushing Teal'c's leg is almost heartbreaking. That it's just the two of them with a dead cell-phone is... *handflaps*

Fantastic. That's devastatingly visceral imagery and it's just ... wow. Really, really nice. And I genuinely believe that the author knows when the story ends, but seriously - you stop *there*?? Argh.

Yay apocafic! This is fantastic, love the detail of the ashes raining down as they drive, Sam's hand on the window, the dull thud. Really nicely done.

Yay End-of-the-world! I think I love it because it's forces you to write everything in the moment, in the present and now - because everything changes to being about survival and the most basic needs and wants.

Plus there's just something about putting the Team in-extremis.

It's weird, but when I started throwing out plot ideas and scenarios for my Apocafic, Sam and Teal'c weren't even a remote possibility. I was all about an OT3 with J/S/D or possibly C/S/D so it could be a complete excuse for a PWP.

But when I started my new prompt, these two spoke to me - they just mesh so beautifully in what is turning out to be a very bleak and unforgiving story.

I really have to agree there, Sam and Teal'c are the best for apocafic. This has so much serious potential, tell me you are at least thinking of continuing?

Well this snippet does end there, although I like to think they did more than make a last stand.

But my (upcoming as soon as I finish it in all its devastating end-of-the-worldness) apocaficathon story is all about the Sam and Teal'c. It's a pairing (friendship or otherwise) that I haven't ever really looked at before, but I definitely love it now!

Oh, ow. Sam and Teal'c are so wonderful together at the end of the world - angsty and broken, and the dynamic between them is so different without Jack or Daniel. This is such a fabulous ficlet.
