I know what you mean, I would love a well written, meaty fic about Dumbledore's Army pulling itself from the ashes of Hogwarts or George going on without Fred. As it is, my HP fic reading days were so long ago and so short lived that I can't even recall much of what I read (a lot of Oliver Wood/Percy fic as my ship, mostly because those shippers were the only people who wrote anything good on the 'Percy heals himself and comes to terms with his life choices' side, which I desperately wanted for that boy. And also cuz I loved Oliver Wood, let's be honest.) HP fandom was so huge and you had to wade through so much crap and badly written fic, it was hard to find the good stuff.

I noticed that the author of the Neville is The Boy Who Lived fic has an AO3 so I went there. The Neville fic seems to be part of some series now, AUs about different people being the Chosen One?, or different ways it could have happened?. Boy With A Scar it is called, I think. Idk, I didn't read it yet, so I'm not sure what it all is, but I now see she has written some of my fav Tumblr fics on Narnia too. Here she is on AO3.
