Geoff woke long after Loz had left, stretching and rolling over to see the other side of the bed unexpectedly empty. Puzzled, he sat up and listened for the shower, and then noticed the little box on Loz's pillow. Smiling, he unwrapped and opened it, the smile deepening as he pulled the watch from the box. After several long minutes of inspection, he laid it on the nightstand and went to shower and dress.

Then he tucked the watch into his pocket and lounged in the chair, reading, until Loz's return.
