 Ok I have a couple of questions:

#1 How do you participate in this hobby without getting sucked into others negativity and political BS?

#2 How do you support your spouse and/or children's interests/goals and still find time to enjoy yourself and follow your interests and goals?

Speaking as one who is often exposed to political bs my biggest suggestion is to surround yourself with positive people. People who think and who love the society and everything that comes with it. Friends who can think outside the box and who are motivated to change things and not just sit back and bitch are a treasure. Secondly, find your happy place. find the thing you enjoy doing and do it. I like the admin stuff, its not for everyone. I also chuck it all and go shoot archery some events.

Yeah the last event I was scheduled to have "girl time" Roland had to go and get Knighted so B had to guard at his vigil :( But MIL has promised to help w/ kiddos this season so B and I can get away for a little while together like we did at Sept. Crown, which was REALLY nice!

#1: When I get back into the swing of things, I will make it my utmost priority to keep my nose in my research and out of the political fray, as difficult as that is when you see things around you being mismanaged

1.I play the politics for fun, and try not to get pulled down by the tide :) Can't say that I recommend that road though
