I found it. I finally FINALLY figured it out. What had been bothering me about this whole thing, what I'd been looking for in all those files.
I figured out why the magic didn't make sense. Oh my God, I can't believe I actually worked it out. That it took me this long, when I'd known what I was looking for all along.
I haven't any idea what to do with this now, exactly, but I found it.
This is pretty much a victory. A victory that hasn't actually done anyone good, but I FOUND it when the Ministry's Aurors hadn't.
I need to talk to you right away. I found an interesting pattern.
I just want you to know, if anyone cares, that I have worked it out. And that occasionally perseverance and insomnia end well. Not end, maybe. But at least this part of it has worked out.
This is so incredibly a bit of a victory.
