This entry has been an intersection with an INTENDED intersection with agirlnamedluna**. We originally had much bigger and more obviously collaborative plans... which were sadly dashed altogether by outsized ambitions, inflexible / unforgiving entry deadlines, and the globally-sized time zone difference between us (and some other distant parties I'd planned to ( Read more... )

I'd say that I can't believe you named a character "Derp," except that it really suited both of these guys.

Ah, popular music. If only it usually WERE about the music and not the antics. Or whatever the hell you might consider disco.

I'd like to say the M. Cyrus hubbub from earlier in the week wasn't a bit of an inspiration in my emergency entry. I'm sure it probably was, though, subconsciously. Although I'm actually much more disturbed by how off-key Robin Thicke was throughout his part of that performance. I have this theory about gold-plated microphones and horrific intonation now.

Also, I have the greatest of respect for Flatt and Scruggs, and the derpiness was not so much about them as about their eventual audience. But I do think Earl Derp is a great name.

Whew... What a crazy ride this story was. All to end up with disco at the end. *sigh*

Seriously, thanks for a fun story.
