in a political sense, (not an emotional/personal or literal sense of course), it is. This is because Nader won't win and has no chance of winning and voting for him is wasting a vote that could have gone towards getting Kerry (or whomever) into office and Bush out. It will come down to Bush in or Bush out, Bush vs. Kerry. You must pick a side. Voting another party is a wasted vote, but also one less towards getting Kerry in, and thus Bush out, and that is why its considered a vote for Bush. It might as well be (though literally voting for Bush would hurt "Bush-out" moreso).
Politics are dirty and hard, but we can worry about personal voting and fairer and accountable politics next election; for now, to even get to that point, we need bush out and someone in who will help fix the nation's shape and repair our damaged democratic system.

yeah i know all that, i would never vote nader anyway because im a registered democrat, but i said i wasnt sure because i dont like the terminology of "wasting" a vote. which is what everyone is saying...no vote is ever "wasted." i think if anyone even bothers to vote (which most of the nation DOESNT) its a good thing, and yes, i encourage ppl to vote for kerry rather than nader, but im sick of people i know pestering ppl to not vote for nader, im sick of politics in general, a necessary evil...they are
