I love all my characters. I enjoy playing them, I feel like I have a pretty good grasp on their voices, and the last thing I want to do is drop any of them. So I should at least try to fix this, no matter how much I want to just keep avoiding the issue

In regards to the timing, I often feel the same way, especially because Konoka and Setsuna should thread and I just ... miss seeing Setsuna due to my timezone and epic failure. I was wondering -- is it all right if I do jump Setsuna, even if it's quite a few hours after the thread is done? That way we can sort of ... match up better, I guess. Because RPing shouldn't be stressful.

As for the job situation, I can sympathise entirely. I've been looking for a new job for the last month after I found out that I was being paid under the wrong award (and therefore should have been paid about twice what I am) and it's ... just not happening. So yeah. I do get how working a crapass job and not being able to get out of it will drain the interest in RPing because well. That's what's been happening to me this last month.

Same advice to you!

Rose and the Doc had threads running in their journals for those everyday / srs business / whatever threads; sometimes they only got one or two comments back and forth a day, but that allowed them to talk through whatever. It's probably worth emulating.

Ahahah I should have thought of that given that Rose is one of my RL friends. I think the thing that stopped me was the idea of "but what if they're not interested in threading with me". So if people are, then I will definitely do it for Konoka (because s-so many Negima girls, cannot cope).

Also, that keyword is why Tomo should do everyone's keywords!

I'm not sure if 'general' posts of "Hey come thread with me at weird times" work that well - having said that, Arnaud's one appeared to work quite well? - but there's great merit in having a post for catch-all 'okay let's background thread' or 'okay let's continue' or whatever.

For instance, Kamina in canon frequently has Rooftop At Night Srs Business with Yoko, so I've a post in my journal that every so often we'll go '... kaaaay gonna talk through that bit' and he'll drag people up into a new thread in there. (P.S. don't look at that unless you want major spoiling.) Something similar along the lines of 'random talk-through of X with Setsuna'?

On my way to bed now, but let me just say that you're always welcome to jump me, whenever you wish! You're one of the people I've missed threading with most, thanks to timezone issues and my epic failure. So yes, Secchan's threads and her new threading post are A+ OK for jumping at all times. ♥

And yeah, it can be immensely frustrating. Things are improving for me there, at least, but I'm still hoping I can find something new. *hug* Hope things look up soon for the both of us!
