[OOC] Dropping Meme! Now with 0% drops

State of the Union/Dropping Meme time! I've had this sitting here mostly-finished for ages, so it's time to finally polish it off. Here's the non-tl;dr version:

SAFE Kyou/Miyako < Setsuna < Fuyuki < Zelgadis << Death <<<<<<< UNSAFE

Sohma Kyou (acatisntfinetoo)

• Current state: Kyou is doing... tolerably well. He's in a bit of a rut, as he commented to Shigure and Mayuko the other night. Just kind of grumpy and "why am I even here" and "when is camp going to get sick of bothering me" and that sort of thing. But aside from that bad mood, he's doing alright enough.
  
  
• Future plans:
  • Sea kittens! I meant to a while ago, but I've been made of fail lately.
  • Kyou vs. a vacuum cleaner (Yuki's suggestion, I think, sob).
  • Cat armor! Seriously, check this stuff out.
  • Cat huffing?
  • His cabin is pretty empty, and I'm imagining Kakeru forcing him to help seek roommates.
  • De-aging! I've been delaying because I wanted to have a Tohru around for it, but I need to stop waiting and just do it.
  • And I should genderswitch him again, since it's been ages since that first time. And I never made a post for her, she just piggybacked on Ron's genderswitch post.
  
  
• Chance of dropping: 0%
  
  
• OOC state: As always, I love Kyou with all my heart. I think I could throw him into just about any post and be able to play him convincingly. The only problem is that I haven't been throwing him into posts, because my other characters have been taking over, Setsuna and Miyako most of all. When I do have him out, though, he tends to get jumped by several people, which is nice. So as long as I get back into the habit of playing him, I'll be A-OK.

Sakurazaki Setsuna (7_of_swords)

• Current state: Well, she's just been canon-updated early last month, to right before the current tournament arc. She's not really comfortable with the concept that they're at home and here at the same time, but at least she knows nothing too terrible has happened. (It also puts her at ease somewhat re: Konoka's absence.) Her solid defeat by Tsukuyomi in chapter I-forget-which, though, has her seriously upset. She's basically spending all her free time training so such a shameful loss won't happen again.
  
  
• Future plans: I really don't have much planned for her! I was going to do some kind of forced socialization after Konoka's drop, but Setsuna ended up getting equilibrium more quickly than I'd expected her to. Which is fine by me; pining-for-my-not-girlfriend is okay for a post or two, but too long and it's just no fun to play.
  • Something to do with Chibi-Setsuna, because I've still never used her and that's a crying shame.
  • There're a couple of ideas I had for Sasahara that never got used; I may repurpose them for her instead.
  • How did I forget? Half-Human Club! I'm going to make her the exceedingly-unwilling MC of sorts.
  
  
• Chance of dropping: 10%
  
  
• OOC state: I've been rediscovering my love for Setsuna lately! I'm not sure why, as she hasn't actually shown up in canon for ages. (She's in the most recent chapter, though, apparently! I was worried Akamatsu was gonna pull something on me for a second.) But I had a lot of fun with the post she canon-updated in. And a few weekends ago, I ended up bringing her out for more threads than even Miyako was in. She's fun and fairly easy to play, and there really isn't much you could do to pry her out of my hands. I just need to pimp hard for more Negima! castmates. (Seriously, guys. Somebody out there find me a Konoka and I will love you and her in ways that are probably not legal.)

Death of the Discworld (takes_a_holiday)

• Current state: It's hard to answer this for Death, because he doesn't really change that much. He's just as zen as ever. Camp and the people in it are still interesting and intriguing, so he'll continue to deal with the life force build-ups and make new acquaintances.
  
  
• Future plans: First, I need to canon-review a bit before I pull him out again. But on the IC front:
  • More thought-provoking questions, because that made for some interesting conversations.
  • Cake or Death post.
  • Turn him into the main character from the Death Takes a Holiday movie.
  • I should do some things with life force management, because he doesn't get to actually do his job all that often.
  • Hang out with the Soul Eater cast? (I need to read Soul Eater already, dammit.)
  • Definitely hang out with the Pushing Daisies cast.
  
  
• Chance of dropping: 35%
  
  
• OOC state: I've said it before and I'll say it again: Death is the backburner to end all backburners. He will never approach main alt status with me, and I vary in how I feel about that. Sometimes it doesn't bother me a bit; other times I feel like I'm not giving him the time he deserves. But that latter bit usually goes along with me feeling like nobody's getting the time they deserve. If you held me at gunpoint and told me to drop him, I'd be able to let go without feeling bad. But for now, as long as people still enjoy seeing him when he's out, I'll keep playing him.

Hinata Fuyuki (occultisfinetoo)

• Current state: Pretty good! He's really relieved that the super-zombies are gone, and it was kinda fun to fight them with Alisa in that last bomb post. And even though he's been here a good while, he's still finding new things to go starry-eyed at. Fuyuki is pretty zen about things.
  
  
• Future plans:
  • I was thinking of dual-running a post with myself -- Zelgadis and Fuyuki hanging out in the library studying various things.
  • He still hasn't gotten a chance to study the love goo! Must be remedied.
  • L-space expedition with Alisa and possibly Joshua?
  • Genderswap and age-down! I've got canon icons for both, so I need to use them!
  
  
• Chance of dropping: 15%
  
  
• OOC state: I was feeling really off with Fuyuki for a while, but I think that was just a consequence of his not having been out often enough. He needs to get out a lot and show his enthusiasm for all the crazy stuff camp has to offer. And, sure enough, I made myself throw him out a few times this weekend and I started to get his voice back! So I need to do a bit of canon-reviewing, but I'm feeling much more confident with him than I was before.

Zelgadis Greywords (epic_shale)

• Current state: He's not in a great mood right now. His research, as usual, has yet to turn up a cure, and while there's still plenty of options to explore, he's starting to feel pinned in by camp. Usually by now he would have moved on to a new location already. It's also rather annoying that the only people left from home are Gourry and Xelloss, no offense meant to them (well, offense meant to Xelloss >| jerk).
  
  
• Future plans:
  • Eggs!
  • Censoring.
  • A date with Lady Wall (note to self, dig out the relevant link again).
  • Stick him in a T-shirt that reads "I'm Somebody's Fetish". (That used to be an actual shirt you could buy. XD)
  • The aforementioned library post with Fuyuki.
  • Turn him into a kitten or a pet rock! (The latter would be for a hiatus, though.)
  
  
• Chance of dropping: 20%
  
  
• OOC state: Similar to Fuyuki above, I just need to get Zel out and force him to be around people, and I think I'll get back into the groove with him. (I made him tag several people in Luffy's chat room post, and it helped!) He fills a void in my character lineup: the antisocial, pessimistic type. Fuyuki and Miyako are bright and shining optimists; Setsuna's more awkward in social situations than actively against them; and Death... is Death. Kyou used to be more this type, but he'd mellowed slightly by the point in canon I took him from, then mellowed a bit more over his time in camp. Zel is my go-to guy for sarcasm, snark, and barely-disguised contempt -- although I need to go outside my comfort zone a bit and learn to play him more like that.

Miyako (starving_artist)

• Current state: Just fine! She's a tiny bit homesick for the Hidamari apartments and her friends there, but she knows she'll be back before she left, so they're not worrying about her, at least. And there's so much great stuff to do and so many great people to meet here! (Not to mention so much good food to eat. Except on Tuesdays.) She still has to do things like explore the volcano and get turned into a guy before she can go home!
  
  
• Future plans:
  • Wall murals!
  • I'd like her to meet Horohoro again and talk her way into the Onsen Inn, if it doesn't fill up before I have the chance to. If that doesn't work out, though, no big deal.
  • My notes mention "jelly beans". And that's it. And I have... no idea what I meant when I typed that. Maybe the Bertie Bott's every flavor kind or however you spell it.
  • SECRET TOTALLY-INSANE REQUIRING-LOTS-OF-PREPARATION I-AM-A-LUNATIC-FOR-EVEN-CONSIDERING-THIS POST.
  • Miyako was voiced by Navi from Ocarina of Time! So I have to turn her into a fairy some time. Maybe I could co-post with, like, Midna or Bowser or another video game character for her to annoy.
  • Screwing around with MS Paint! That'll be a fun one. Maybe team up with Namine or another artist-type character for it?
  • Singing in the onsen.

• OOC state: Oh god, Miyako is a blast to play. I really can just type the first thing that pops into my head and it will be totally IC. She's loud and earnest and unlike any of my other characters, and I will hold on to her until the end of time and beyond. And yeah, that's all I really need to say about her. \o/
