We never had Santa Claus tales in Russia -- so all of that was curious and strange to me. Nonetheless, from what I hear, this is a horribly twisted version of the legend.

If you need to seek refuge, the Lighthouse is easily defended from such curses. It will not be barred on Christmas, or any other day.

That I did not know...and yes, this is certainly not the best version to see if you don't know much about Santa yet.

Also that is great to hear. I'll keep that in mind incase I need a refuge during the holiday.

A Fae? As in a fairy?

I never would've pictured him to be one...I mean fat and jolly versus fairy tale fairies that are super slim and tiny. I just can't see it.

The general agreement when I was a kid was that he had magical powers that allowed him to fit down a chimney to deliver presents.
