Not explaining the title :P

Obama's half-sister, Maya Soetoro, in an interview with TEMPO magazine, said that Obama never spoke Indonesian anymore in public because he's embarassed of his now vestigial Indonesian. But in private, Obama sometimes still calls to Maya, "Maya, sini... Maya, sini..." ("Come here, Maya ( Read more... )

My memory failed me but were most Indonesian Hindus Shivaite? There were far more statues of Shiva (Syiwa) than of Vishnu (Wisnu) or Brahma.

I believe yes. My ex's a Balinese Hindu, and though he said that it's rather different from the Indian one, it's still closer to Shivaite than to Brahman Hindu.

Ahahaha... sekolah negeri kayaknya emang punya sindrom ga PD di kompetisi begini. Terus kalo ditanya, alasannya pasti karena sekolah swasta punya dana lebih buat mempersiapkan muridnya. Blah! Basi.

BTW, turns out that Prince Charles was interested by the same Ganesha statue when he visited the Museum :)

Hmmm... is it true that in Hindu Bali, the highest caste is not the Brahmans, but the Ksatriyas?

Murti itu sederhananya semacam perantara devosi ke dewa gitu deh, perhaps almost similar to Maria to Christ in Catholicism. *is hopeless*

Sekolah negeri = UN-driven. ^^;

Some people are just too...
*pats* I have a friend who graduate in 3.5 years with a GPA nearly 4 and said "I actually didn't want to take computers, I'm more into writing" WUT???

I wonder if it's because most state-owned schools do not think such competition/assesment important?
They think, will we got extra 'personal' money if we attend? (I'm not kidding, this is what I hear when I went to one of those competition back in high school. Some shallow teachers are just...)

IP-nya katanya 3,9. Tapi dia ga puas. WTH? "Habis temen-temen gue dapet 4."
Pusing ah... anak FTUI... lalalalaaaaa...
