Chase and Chloe: The WTFWHEREDIDTHISCOMEFROMPOLARBEAR24JUMPEDTHESHARK? friendship.

Jean and Azzy post thingys that they've said in Milliways about each other and their friendship. Also, to decide how they came to be friends.

Let's see.
~Chloe and someone's sister helped Chase with Angela. That was in canon somewheres.
~I think I mentioned them meeting pre-CTU training. But then, I could be remembering wrong. I'll check my memories.

Hmm. Well, as far as I can remember, Chase hasn't mentioned anything about how he and Chloe came to be friends, but when talking about her in the Bar, he describes her as his best friend. When Ryan (or anyone else, but it's mostly Ryan) complains about her, he defends her and has told Ryan on one occasion that she's "like a second sister" to him.

Chase recently had a conversation with Guppy Sandhu in which Guppy showed him a watch he was trying to create a makeshift battery for, and Chase mentioned Chloe's technical skills and said that if he ran into Chloe, he'd mention the problem and see if she could help.

So that's pretty much all I have.

I had a vague idea that they could have met in some kind of computer-literacy course Chase was taking--like, she might have been one of the instructors, doing it for extra cash, and she gave him extra help or something. Just an idea; what do you think of it?

"Best friend" isn't what Chloe calls Chase only because she isn't sure he'd want her calling him that. But she cares enough about him and baby!chappy Angela to be best friends with Chase. And be extremeeeeeeely protective of him and Angela.

Battery, I think she can manage. I'll make a note to research batteries then. XD

Actually, a class works fantastically for me. Slight tweak: Chloe as an instructor's aide instead of professor? Still helping Chase with it, but that's a great idea!

Well, Chase is pretty fiercely protective of Chloe in his own way. He considers her up there with Kim, Jack and his sister as people he'd be absolutely devastated if he ever lost.

Instructor's aide works perfectly, so yay!

I have to go right now, but yay for having a basic backstory. :)
