Jack holds out his hand for Chloe's key as they near the door to her room.

"Key, please. Any particular reason you were knocking back the drinks tonight?" he asks, quietly.

Chloe snorts and fumbles in her pants pocket for her key.

"It's probably open anyway. Bar has this weird habit of wanting to mess with my mind."

She finds the key and hands it to Jack.

"It's a bar isn't it? After what I've gone through the last few months, I'm ready to just wipe my memory clean. Why I'm doing it with alcohol, I don't know. I mean, alcohol makes everything so much worse for everyone around you. Dammit."

She waits silently for Jack to open her door with her hand covering her face.

He unlocks the door and guides her inside. "Only problem is alcohol doesn't wipe your memory permanently. And I thought you didn't drink?"

Chloe enters and sets the glass on the dresser near the door.

"I know. And yes. But I don't really care right now. It was Andrew's birthday a few weeks ago and I missed it. I should have been with him on his birthday. Elaine's okay, right? I can't figure out how Ryan's back. He's DEAD. The dead don't just come back. I should have asked Teri how she did it before she left."

She turns around and flails her hand at Jack.

"I'm fine. You don't have to stay. I know you probably want to go talk to.. someone else. *coughChriscough*"
