Twilight

Well, I just finished reading Twilight.  I wouldn't say it was the worst book I've ever read.  But I found the prose to be plodding and elementary, and the character and plot development inexpert and lacking in nuance and detail.  I couldn't stand Bella, the protagonist, which I'm sure went a long way toward my general feeling of disconnectedness

I read 'Twilight' long before she became famous and, like you, never thought about a sequel. It wasn't the worst book I've ever read, but I've never been inspired to reread it and move on to the others. *shrugs*
