Like most people, my husband has spell check on his computer. It's one click. But at least a dozen times a day, he asks me how to spell something. I'm terrible at multitasking, so I have to stop what I'm doing and mentally switch gears to actually think about how to spell something and then spell it out-loud. Apparently today, he asked me one ( Read more... )

XD He knows you so well! My husband does this thing where he predicts the people I will slash whenever we watch something new.

Blah, insurance things. My sympathies.

I can't wait to see the entries. Except I'm struggling to finish mine, so I suppose I could wait just a little T_T

Heh. Al usually makes guesses about which ships will be the most popular for the shows we watch. He's gotten much better at predicting the juggernaut pairings, though sometimes he'll just say - don't tell me. ;D

This insurance thing is endless and ridiculous. But it's not like I can really stop dealing with it. The case has been successfully 'closed' more than a dozen times only for something else to pop up out of nowhere. I am dreading the close of open enrollment because I am CERTAIN there will have been something new that will come up that we will have missed.

A lot of folks appear to be attempting some really ambitious entries this round and will be struggling to finish on time even though they all appear to be working diligently. I'll be eager to see what else comes in and crossing my fingers that we won't need too many pinch hitters.

XD What are the ones he got right? Come to think of it, I don't actually know what your other fandoms are, aside from HP. Do you have other fandoms?

Hang in there with the insurance thing!

I'm now sort of kicking myself for going the route of ambition, to be honest. XD I really could have written a perfectly fine story that was about 4 times shorter than this one, but chose instead to kill myself slowly. But! I'm really excited about the other entries. The First Time for Everything Fest turned out so well one can't help but look forward to another Snarry event. I'm really glad that HP fandom is still so active =)

Oh, it's hard to say nowadays. Al and I watch a lot more TV shows together, but I'm satisfied enough with the canon that I don't actually read fan fic. But I can't help but notice what is popular on AO3. Not all of it is m/m slash. There are some het and femmeslash pairings that I would say I ship even if I'm not active in the fandom. I'm not reading much of anything these days, tbh. But I've recently been reading fic in Rizzoli & Isles, Elementary, and Sherlock.

I hope everyone doesn't decide to kick themselves this round. Though I am pleased to see how many folks really seemed to challenge themselves. I'm sure it won't work out for everyone, but it's still exciting. We'll see what I think when I am looking for pinch-hitters, though. ;D

Not that I'd want his life (or death), but I woudn't mind being even half as intelligent.

Perfect channeling of Severus. LOL!

I can sympathise, I have been trying to sort out a problem with my power company for six months, talk about tearing my hair out!

And I cannot believe how long this issue has dragged on. The case has been 'successfully closed' more than a dozen times only for yet another issue to crop up again. I have no confidence it will ever be fully resolved. Talk about frustrating!

... know exactly what you mean!

I ended up going to the Ombudsman, thank goodness they have taken over and are getting it sorted for me.
