I told myself I wouldn't post when I was grouchy, which explains why I haven't posted in a month. But, frankly, I'm beginning to suspect I'll never post again if I keep this rule in place. So - feel free to scroll past.
I hear you! That can sure derail one's enjoyment of the holidays. We always think we must make it perfect for everyone else. But then there is the other saying:
No one ever reached the end of their life and thought, "i wish I'd had more time to spend sleaning my house."
That could easily apply to shopping or a few dozen other things we stress out about.
You've sounded like you've had a lot on your plate for a very long time now, I'm sorry that you're going through such a rough patch. Right now, worry about keeping your head above water and don't fret overmuch about those things you let slide if they're not of the utmost importance. You are one person and you can only do so much.
I hope you and your family find a little respite in the holiday season and that the new year brings with it a lessening of the things that are weighing on you so much.
