The Wizard

1. What kind of wood is your wand be made of? Go to the Celtic Wood Chart and find which according to your birth date. (This is similar to the traditional horoscopes.) Then copy-paste the description here. Bold traits that describe you very well and strike those that do not apply to you whatsoever. Then provide a brief commentary on how accurate you think these traits are in the scope of your nature and personality.

"The 'new moon' Hazel individual is more inclined to seek out knowledge than his or her 'full moon' counterpart. These people possess an inquisitive nature which can, at times, become prying or underhand. The 'full moon' Hazel individual is more outgoing in nature and temperament. These people are also more inclined to become public figures who seek to educate or instruct people in the arts. The 'full moon' Hazel sets a high regard on honesty and has well-defined principles. Such people can, however, be very critical in attitude...usually stemming from an inbuilt hypersensitivity. Hazel individuals need to express their creativity or they could easily become morbid and introspective. "

Lively. Analytical mind. Great deal of imagination. Radical and idealistic thinker. Artistic abilities often lead to creating beauty with very practical uses. Sometimes known as the mediator of society. Keen observer of truth. Able to judge an entire situation in a very short period of time. Paranoid. Lacks self-worth. Abundance of nervous energy. Needs to be constantly channeled or becomes prone to sudden headaches and migraines. Dislikes pretenses, false values and waste of any kind. Probably the most rational. Always appears to be cool and reserved. Emotional surface control. Prone to suffer from nervous tension. Strong mental stamina. Blessed with agile mind able to cope with any extremes. Most critical of own shortcomings. Low self-esteem. Argumentative or even cynical. Resorts to underhanded means in order to attain knowledge. Honest and caring as mate. Sincere. Inspires great loyalty from others.

Honestly, most of them pertain to me at times, but not always, so I wasn't really sure that I should mark them one way or another. But I will explain a little about the items I made bold.

Lacks self-worth. Most critical of own shortcomings. Low self-esteem: These fit me to a T. I have an incredibly low self esteem. Its something I have tried to fix for a long time and while it has got better, I still have a ways to go. I find something to criticize in everything I do and am probably my worst judge.

Desires to acquire knowledge: In spite of the above, I love to learn. Anything that interests me I will read about. If I find something that I don't know much about I will learn about it. I used to carry a dictionary with me everywhere, to look words up that I came across. I stopped for some reason.

Abundance of nervous energy: Oh wow. I drive people nuts with this one. I am alway moving. Whether it be tapping my pen or moving from the tips of my toes to my heels.

Great deal of imagination: I love to write, although most of what I want to write stays in my head, because I am not sure how to get it on paper. But I make up stories in my head (No, I swear I am not nuts) and sometimes I get so into the plotting and such the little sound will make me jump. You should have seen me as a child. I could get lost in my imaginary worlds.

Honest and caring as mate. Sincere. Inspires great loyalty from others: I like to think I am a good friend. I care about people to much to want to hurt them. I believe I am loyal to them and it makes them want to watch out for me. Its true. A lot of my friends are pretty protective. I

2. How do you think you would use magic? On a day to day basis? Over your entire lifespan?

I would probably use it like Mrs. Weasley. Using it with day to day tasks. Who wouldn't want to just flick their wand and *poof* your dishes are washing themselves or some unseen force is folding your laundry. Ok, maybe I am a bit lazy. I am sure I would also use it to protect. I would be one very angry girl if someone were to mess with my family. Or my friends for that matter.

3. What are your strongest personality traits? Your weakest?

Strongest
Loyalty: I am very loyal to my friends. It takes alot for me not to defend them.
Caring: I love to take care of people. I like to know I am helping them heal or get through a hard day.
Knowledge: I am forever looking things up on google or going to the library to read. If I don't know word or what somethings origin is, there is a good chance that is the next thing I am looking up.

Weakest
Shyness/lack of confidence: Being shy and my lack of confidence is horrible to me and something I work on over coming every day. I hate the fact that even though I may know the answer or have an opinion on something, I won't voice it. It is something I have dealt with all my life and will probably go on dealing with. Although it has gotten easier for me.

4. If you could solve world hunger by killing one person would you? Explain why or why not.

No. I don't care if this person was the most horrible, evil human being. I don't think I would have the nerve to kill anyone. To take human life, deserving or not, is just horrible to me. Even if it was to solve a big problem, I don't think I would be able to do it.

5. Who would you say is your role model? Explain.

I am not sure if I can pick just one person. There are many I look up to. My dad, for his work ethic and the way he will do whatever he needs to to take care of his family. My mom who tries for something and doesn't give up til she accomplishes it. My brother, who goes after what he wants, even if the way to it is completely crazy. My step mom who puts others before herself any day. These are the people I want to be like and who I watch. Without them, I would be nothing. I would not have goals or dreams. I would not have achieved what I have. And I would not have the courage to do go out and face the world, when I would rather hide. So you can say my role model is my family. I am who I am because of them.

6. How do you respond to confrontation?

Like a scared little dog. But I do face it. I may cower and shake, but I don't back away. If it is something I did wrong and I am being reprimanded for it, I take it. We all need to be corrected at times. If I am being told I am wrong when I know I am right, I will try to prove it. (Enter Google). I don't like confrontation, but it's not something you can avoid forever, so you just face up to it.

7. What values are important in your life?

Friendship ~ I would be lost without those I call my friends. They make you laugh, listen to troubles, wipe your tears. And best of all they keep you sane. So yes, friends are one I value highly.

Trust ~ It doesn't take much for me to trust someone and that can be good and bad, I suppose. But if that trust is lost, it takes a long time for be to trust again. I need to able to trust my friends and family and they need to be able to trust me.

Knowledge ~ What's the point of living if you are not learning as well. Even simple things like know who the inventor of scotch tape is(Richard G. Drew). I want to learn. I am curious and nosy and searching. Stick me in a library anytime.

8. If you were to face a boggart, what would it turn into?

It would turn into a talking, walking, murderous doll. I am terrified of talking dolls. Because of the movie Child's Play. Have been since about 2nd or 3rd grade, when I accidentally watched a little of that movie. You know how some people freeze up when something terrifies them? Well, that happened to me a few years ago and it was only the TV. I was flipping channels and it came up on that movie playing. I froze up. I could not even bring myself to turn the channel. My roommate at the time had to literally pry the remote from my hand. It sounds silly, but it happened.

The World

9. What makes a person respectable?

Someone who stands firm in what they believe. Someone who is kind and doesn't judge someone because of what they look like or how they live. Someone who follows through with what they say. Shows up when they make an appointment and on time. Someone honest and trustworthy. That's who I would see as respectable.

10. Which of the basic elements do you identify with the most: Earth, Air, Fire, or Water?

OK, I will be honest and tell you I wasn't sure which element meant what. So I looked it up. After what I read, I would say I am closer to Earth. I am dependable, I follow though to the best of my ability with what I say I will do. I believe I am pretty stable. Grounded. In what I belive. In what I stand for. And anyway, I love the feel of grass under my feet, flowers are my friends and camping is heaven.

11. Do you believe there can be a truly selfless act?

I think there can, though it may not happen often. Though people would love to be the hero and think that they would take the place in a dangerous situation for someone else, I think that the only true selfless act is unplanned. Something that is just done. A reaction that I am not sure alot of people have.

12. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose and why?

This may not be the answer you are looking for, but it would not matter where I lived as long as I was with my family. I though moving away and having my independence would be where I wanted to be, but all I want now is to be home with my family. Being around those who love me. I could be in the middle of a barren wasteland, but if my family was with me, I would be content. Though, I would try to get my family in a better place. :P

The Reader

13. Have you read all of the Harry Potter Books? If yes, which book is your favorite and why? If no, which book is your favorite so far and why haven't you finished the rest?

I have, many times. And I would have to say my favorite book is both 4 and 5. I love the fact that you got to know characters from other wizarding schools in book 4. How they interacted with Hogwarts and the way the students were the same and the ways they were different. Book five got me because of the whole Dumbledore's Army. I loved how they just ignored the rules and went on training to battle evil. And the fact that you got to know Sirius better. Or at least I did.

14. Who is your favorite character in the HP series? Why?

Oh gosh. This is tough, because I like so many. Luna, she is so odd and yet I can totally relate to her in some ways. Hermione, a sweet bookworm, but when you make her mad, watch out! And Neville. He is really unsure off himself(or was) and that made him lack in some areas. I can relate. Because of my own insecurity I have problems in letting myself, my true self show. But I am hoping in the end I prove myself like Neville did.

15. Which character is your least favorite in the HP series? Why?

I know I might hear grief about this, but I still do not like Snape and probably never will. I know he turned out good in the end, but the way he acted just made me dislike him so much. He treated people who were not the best as unworthy of his time. He held onto a grudge so long that even when Potter died he could not let go and instead treated Harry like he was nothing. He may have redeemed himself in the end, but it is still hard to look at him in a good light. And yes I realize I am still holding a grudge against Snape. Nobody's perfect. He wasn't and neither am I. But I still don't like him

16. If you were a part of the HP series, what canon character(s) would you be friends with and why? Which character(s) do you think you would not get along with?

I think Luna and Neville. I would fit in very well in their group. I like that which is impossible and get really excited about the subject I love. And I seem to attract the less attractive (not looks) people. The ones that are little strange or not so out going. I am both of those things.

17. Choose a quote from one of the HP books. ANY quote. Be sure to cite who said it and explain why it is your favorite.

"The Grim's not an omen, it's the cause of death! And Harry's still with us because he's not stupid enough to see one and think, right, I'd better kick the bucket then!" Hermione Granger, Prisoner of Azkaban.

Ever since I read this book and this quote, it has stuck in my head. I am not superstitious. I love black cats, walk under ladders purposely and don't cringe at broken mirrors. So when Hermione said this, one it made me laugh and two, that is exactly what I would think.
