As always, this is just totally awesome. From Jeff's invasion of Chip's personal space, to all those little stomach-twisty moments of self-doubt Chip has... And can I say that my stomach twisted right along with Chip's?

Yay! Thank you so much! I'm so glad that you liked the fic, specifically the bit about Jeff's lack of personal space and Chip's self-doubt. In my head, Chip craves Jeff's touch and presence, but isn't as open about how he feels as Jeff, so it's naturally going to lead to him doubting himself and his feelings for Jeff. Also, I sort of adore Jeff's general inability to acknowledge that people have personal space. Specifically when Chip is around ;). So it was fun to play around with both of these things. I'm so happy I made your day (even though it was yesterday)! I love all your stories, and everytime I think I have a favorite, the next one is even better than the last. Oh, and something I meant to say in my other comment. I was happy to see one from Chip's POV, just because the others have been from Jeff's. It was a pleasant change.

I've never commented on any of your stories before, but I decided to on this one.

I absolutely adore the way you write Jeff and Chip. This scenario is completely believable. "Unsurprisingly, Jeff is pressed up against his side for no apparent reason." I've noticed that he actually does this a lot onscreen, and I don't think it's far fetched to say that it's probably happened off-screen as well.

Anyway, before this becomes a novel of a comment, I just wanted to say that this fic, (and your others) have completely made my day. :) Can't wait for more!

P.S. The credit should go to you that I started watching Merlin. I read your Merlin/Arthur fics before watching the show. For this I thank you. It has become one of my favorite shows!

Aww, well thank you so much for delurking just to comment on my fic! I appreciate that :). And of course, I'm thrilled to hear that you enjoyed it.

On-screen, Jeff is like as physical with Chip as I think he possibly CAN be - whether pressing up against him (he does this a lot actually) or touching him. It's like, if Chip is within arm's reach of Jeff, then Jeff is all up in his space. So yeah... I agree that it's not unlikely to happen off-stage as well.

And I was a WL/IAG fan first. I was looking at the fyeahjeffchip blog, and I saw "Autopilot and Alcohol". I loved your writing, so I looked at the other fics you had, and then I was like, you know, this seems like it would be a pretty good show, so I watched it and I loved it! I watched all three seasons in about 4 days.

Merlin is definitely infuriating sometimes, especially when Merlin saves Arthur's life or something, and he just yells at him for sitting there. But all of that is made up for with all the humor and banter that goes on. I love that it can make you laugh and cry at the same time. Hopefully, Merlin will tell Arthur about his magic soon, so he can finally get some credit. ;)

Yeah, Merlin is incredibly frustrating sometimes and it makes me want to rip my hair out of my head. But I'm so invested in it that I can't help but stick by the show no matter what! I'm most looking forward to the stupid magic reveal, which it sounds like they're NEVER going to do. But the chemistry between Bradley and Colin is undeniable, and I don't think I've ever shipped anything as hard as I do Merlin/Arthur. (Except, maybe, Mulder/Scully from X-Files. And Jeff/Chip is sort of up there too, LOL!)

“I’ll go lie down on the other couch,” he says, though makes no attempt to actually move away *smiles* I like the feeling of comfort, familiarity between them. And the teasing and then discussion from Greg and Ryan is very kind too, I get a sense of great friendship from all of them in this fic above all. Which is so nice. I hope they do get together in this universe ;)

I love this story!! You should make it go on longer, and make it so that Jeff and Chip end up telling everyone about their "relationship" and get everyone's reactions. That would be amazing!! I would go buy this in stores!!
