I don't see the issue though. They're a state defined along ethnic lines. Different laws and rights apply to different ethnicities. We just need to get used to treating Israel like a fundamentally racist state.

Israel is a pleasant place to visit, but the institutional racism is a bit hard to deal with.

No, like most racist states they need a scapegoat to explain away their problems. They'd start cracking down harder on their internal non-jewish minorities (Arabs - Christian, Druze, Muslim) and then jewish minorities (Arab, African, new Russian immigrants).
