It really, really is funny: I'm trying so hard to be more outgoing for my vet school career. I suppose I'm doing well. A handful of people have described me in various terms ammounting to "outgoing" or "friendly." The thing is, none of them know me from undergrad or high school, so they have no idea the strain this effort puts on me. And none

i like your logical-ness in the post.

i guess high school *was* weird. i don't really know why "we all" thought you weren't social. i don't even know how it all got started. perhaps it was that 'argument' in world history. no matter, i don't think you were any more unsocial than i was. and i guess because you were 'known' for being 'unsocial' that people keep bringing it up.

Yeah, I guess I kinda detach emotionally when I get introspective.

As far as high school, I WAS a fairly unsocial person. It wasn't easy for me, so I avoided it. It's still not entirely natural for me, I'm just trying harder. It's nice to have new people to get a fresh start with though.

I'm sure there's at least *one* female vet student who doesn't maintain that policy. In their defense, however, incestuous relationships can be disastrous unless both parties are very mature. Good luck, Alex.
