i'm sorry if this is inappropriate, but i couldn't find an email address to contact you through. i'm writing to ask, beg, plead, etc with you to please take some sort of action against the rampant off-topic, inappropriate and just plain offensive posts that have been plaguing the social anxiety community. (http://www.livejournal.com/community/socialanxiety/120364.html is an example) posts like this severely detract from the therapeutic value of the group.
I'm very sorry I couldn't get back to you all earlier. My computer's been down for some time and now it looks like I'm going to need to swap out the hard disk and generally do everything the hard way. Anyway I'm borrowing computer time at the moment.
How sad that someone has started this crap in our community. Is it just this one guy, Omicronayin? I agree that he's being an ass. At the very least he's posting way off-topic. To tellya the truth though I've never had to talk to anyone about their conduct before. Anyway now I can get rid of the offensive comments and ask him what the heck his problem is. Please don't hesitate to leave comments in this journal about the community, I don't mind. I may delete them but only after I've taken care of whatever the problem is. URLs of offensive posts by community members are particularly helpful (we're accumulating quite a bit of text to sort through).
there is no "getting" about it--he's been bizarre and nasty the entire time i've been watching the community. :/ i hope that the mod is still around and will take care of this situation.
I am disturbed by this guy, could you do something about it? He might just make up a new screen name and come back, but banning him from the SA community would be worth a try.
I agree with the above posts. Can you do something about that person on the SA community? Those posts are off-topic, offensive, and annoying. Or maybe we should just make another community?
