I'm glad the ZAKU was able to perform so well for someone unfamiliar with it. I was part of quality control for them in a way... seeing how they could compare to the Impulse.

The raw output may not be as high as the colonisation fleets' VF, but that's understandable due to the restriction of battery power.

The Impulse, is it another Gundam?

Yeah. The Impulse is the Gundam I've been the test pilot for due to my familiarity with the Strike, which it's based off of. It's been finished for a while now, and it wasn't planned to be part of the exhibition.

In a way we're lucky; it might have gotten stolen otherwise.

Why doesn't ZAFT mass-produce Gundams instead? It appears to be generally better in combat performance compared to the ZAKU.

I've tried simulations with Earth based mecha. Almost all of them just feel so slow compared to valkyries.

They do feel slow, even compared to the VF-1s. However, that could be nostalgia on my part.

There is something to be said for being armored like a tank, though. Most Valkyries are pretty fragile.

I think ZAFT really managed to outdo themselves with the ZAKU. It's vastly superior to the GINN, which was the primary mobile suit ZAFT used at the beginning of the war.

The GINN, that was still vastly superior to the opposition's counterpart, correct?

The enemy didn't have a counterpart. They didn't use mobile suits until eleven months into the war.

I don't suppose they use VFs either?
