I'm thinking you might have started this trip a little earlier in the season, Paul! Hang in there. Will you be heading into Mexico (and warmer weather) soon?

Hi! Two weeks ago it was (still) over 100F in Austin. I'm thankful that I waited to enter the Southwest - but, yes, I am worried about the weather that I'll hit when it's time to return to the bitter North!

Sleeping bag + tent = two things that I need to purchase before I leave town. I just wouldn't have considered it any sooner in the trip.

Come back to Chicago the Sox need You but Don't Rush! anonymous October 20 2005, 12:49:28 UTC
What are you doing down there in Texas. We play Houston on Saturday so you should be in town by then ;P Just kidding, take your time and enjoy the ride. Have you found any good Thai food? I still help the new owners out from time to time at our old place. Foods not bad but I haven't tasted their Pad Kee Mow aka Crazy Noodles so I'll have to get back to you ( ... )

Hey Anne! It looks like the White Sox did fine without me.

Once you are past St. Louis, on 55, everything changes - for the better.

I have no good Thai food to report - yet. But, I did pick up a Thai blend of 3 pepper varieties that I am adding to bland road food as needed. Ha! I am not seeing people from SE Asia around here. China, yes.

Good luck with school!
