It's been days.....
And everytime I go by the Magic Box, it's the Slayer.
Why is she there? Does she Know something? Have I infringed on some Hero's code without knowing? Am I saving more people than she is? Is she jealous of my minion's ability to foresee trouble?

I mean...It's not right for me to um...
But really I can't seem to send her away, and it's a delicate situation that I ...don't want to discuss with Buffy. She'd probablly take it wrong.

But Anya! Anya was there when It happened. Oh joy! She's back. I feel like dancing.
I enter and lock the door behind me. This should be a private moment.
"Oh Anya!" I call.

I turn as I hear someone call my name, leaving the Targis root that someone has put back in the wrong place. Honestly!

"Oh, it's you - what do you want?" I groan, seeing whats-his-name come in.

[darth_wells]

My joy cannot be crushed.
"Anya, Anya, Anya, My annoyed turtle dove. I have a tinsy tiny itty bitty problem I need your help with." I beam at her.
"You remember the last time I was here? When I rescued you from the freaky cordelia demon?"

I stare at him for a moment - I think the boy's gone mad. It happens. "There was no Cordelia demon you dim-witted fool! And I am not your turtle dove."

There's just something about this boy that switches me stright from 'placid' to 'extremely irritated'. I would slap him but he is a customer...

I gave him a few minutes like he wanted, time's up. I head inside, through the door, and materialize inside. "Okay, you had your ten minutes, time's up, let's go. The people of Sunnydale in danger aren't getting in any less mortal peril with you standing around here." I snap to Andrew. I pause and wave. "Hi Anya."

"See, Cordy..." I say as I turn... and completely stop talking as Cordy seems to have turned blue...

"I'm Cordy's demon half...with the visions." I explain. "He, screwed things up. Not really sure how to fix that, though there really are people out there that need saving..."

[darth_wells]

"I didn't. I've been helping the hopeless!" I smile and move discreetly behind Anya.

I stare at them both."I will have you know, I went to school with Cordelia Chase and while she was terrifingly popular, she wasn't a demon. Ok? I know about these things. I've studied the signs... the portents." I can't believe the Demon is still trying to convince me it's Cordelia. If I had been going to school with a demon I would know...It's one of the many reasons I didn't join the sports teams.

I wasn't then." I say, annoyed. "I got it later. Came with having visions. Can you just get over it already please? It's really trying my patience." Not that I have any patience.

I raise an eyebrow and stare at him - I seem to be doing that a lot lately. "You went to school with me, didn't you?"

[darth_wells]

I know demons. It's my specialty. My calling. So I am ready for the challenge. I steeple my fingers. "Senior year. Anyanka. Vengance Demon, not to be summoned by man." Silly girl. As if I wouldn't know her. "You are in the books. I suspected that you had lost your source of power and been trapt on this plane. You weren't at graduation."

Oh No! What have I done?
"You mean, It wasn't that the demon took Cordelia's form but that Cordelia took the demon's form?" I think my head hurts...
"All I did was remove the demon seeming. Which ...was....completely...the...wrong...thing?"

[queencor]

"Now he gets it." I say, sighing. Though I have to say, Anya's way of explaining it was a whole lot better than mine.

"Yes! That's right - she needs the demon part to help people. If she doesn't have the demon, she can't help. So you have to find a way of putting them back together - you caused the damage so it's your responsibility," I tell him.

[darth_wells]

Of course, Once more I am called upon to put the wrong things right.
"Then if I restore her demon seeming it should fix everything."
Yes, exactly like that. A brilliant plan from a cunning mind. It was just a bit of a mixup in the first place...these things happen...
