Thank you for that link! I'm glad to see that WNYC is still alive and well.

Dolly is a person who grew up being taught very old-fashioned values, specifically regarding "doing good". She sent checks to the victims of a major wildfire in her home area. She makes YouTube videos where she reads bedtime stories for children. She contributes to funding for books for children's libraries. I have never heard a disparaging remark about her from anybody in the country music industry (most of you reading this know that about me). Like Fred Rogers, Dolly Parton is just a natural-born Good Person.

She is an amazingly talented songwriter, she can play guitar, banjo, mandolin, and many similar instruments. She made a conscious choice to give country music fans what they expected of a performer - big hair, rhinestones and sequins, augmented figure, skyscraper-high stiletto heels, and ass-kickin music.

Hurrah for Dolly. She has donated loads of money in the past for books to improve literacy as well. Seems to be an all round "good egg"

It's always nice to find out that some majorly famous person is using their influence and money to Do Good Things (check out the Bill And Melinda Gates Foundation).

Her fan base is trump's support base. One word from her mighr have chilled them out but she refuses to be political... so yes... she is a talented musician... but no... i dont have a ton of respect for her.
