Well, hold on a second, to be fair, unless my understanding of my country's government is way off, Congress has to help in the passing of tariffs and stuff too, not just El Presidente. T_T

You're right. The president has to put things up to a vote, and the majority of Congress has to kind of vote on it, if I remember right. Not to mention that it has to be won by (I think) a certain amount of votes.

Mmmm... And the Congress is currently made with a majority of Democrats, that's what you both mean by this ? Mmyeah. Still, the Bush administation is clearly the instigator of this. But yeah, that element you both point me out makes me doubt of the intelligence of your politicians. (To say the truth, I doubt the intelligence of most politicians in the world, not only U.S., so yeah.) That, or most of them have ties with the food corporations behind the hormoned beef business.
