Life is stable again for the time being. The family situation is all quiet on the western front, and I am actually doing rather well in all of my classes this semester. well, Vietnam is more or less what I expected. It reminds me quite a bit of the Philippines actually. a lot of poor and lower middle class, but not without it's charm. Hanoi is a really interesting city. I've never seen so many people in motorbikes in my life. I went to see the internment camp that John McCain was held at today. Really interesting ( Read more... )

I'm actually in Singapore now, but I'm running behind...KL was absolutely amazing. the hotel was pretty nice, and there was a lot of local foods to try. Some of the fresh fruit is absolutely delish, and there was a night market by the hotel where I bought a few fake DVDs and ate nightly at a Satay stand. well, we landed in Hong Kong today after one last rowdy night in Shanghai. Internet is still at a premium (damn hotels) so I can't update much. I have to say one thing about this city though.
