I have been lifting heavier than i have ever before, but not really seeing the results.. but because of your HIIT suggestion of training. I lost a lot of body fat and finally seeing the results.. I am now ranging from 13% - 15% (for a 5'7'' and 150lb guy that's pretty good) body fat depending on the time of day i weight myself on the body fat monitor scale.
So here is what i suggest you do..
Eat about 5 - 6 even 7 small meals a day.. which i know you don't do...
that's what i do.. i don't stay away completely from carbs, but i keep the count low..
i take in about 1.5 grams of protein per pound of my body weight throughout the day.. not all at once..
man... this is too much to type..
i'll tell you exactly what i eat on monday at the gym...

I'm moving back home so I'll probably be eating healthier, the lazy diet just ain't cutting it for me.
I tried the "low fat" or "fat-free" alternatives... i'll tell you one thing, fat-free mayo ain't mayo..... low-fat cream cheese ain't cream cheese.. that's like a freaking oxymoron.

It hasn't even been half a yr yet.. (has it?)
You've been progressing great. Losing almost 30lbs of fat since January is incredible.
Plus, you've gained a good amt. of muscle weight.
Most people would've started gaining the weight back by now due to crack head diets and shit.
Keep it up sucka, pretty soon, you can be stronger than me.
