Hermione sketch dump
I decided to make a little more Hermione sketches - it's a lot more fun than I thought. I don't know why, but drawing these make me feel a little better. It's like, therapeutic sketches, or something. X) Hope you like!
I think that this one needs a little explanation: Basically, I was sort of confused about how Hermione feels about fashion (in my head, she looks the way she does because she doesn't care too much about fashion), but I sort of realized that she does care - suddenly, I remembered her huge insecurities about her hair, how she feels like she doesn't fit in with the rest of the girls (like Parvati, for example), and how hard she worked to look good for the Yule Ball.
So she does care about fashion, she just doesn't really know how to make herself look gorgeous. She doesn't connect with the girls, because she's oblivious to girly stuff. BUT, she wants to be like those girls, at least to a certain extent - to look better, to not feel so insecure about her looks. So the top sketch sort of is a scene where she looks jealously at the popular girls who know how to dress themselves, to use the right products, etc. etc.
The bottm sketch - I was really confused about what witches wear, and I sort of sketched out some ideas. Seriously, though - what do they wear, anyways?
Possible "dress robe" idea. They wear pointy hats, don't they?
Oh, and this one (the one below) is a joke one - I was just watching Aladdin (because I don't ever remember watching them), and this bizarre idea to dress Hermione up that way just popped in my head. Unfortunately, Hermione resisted like heck, thus resulting in the sketch below. X)
Also, as I was thinking about wizard/witch wardrobe, the idea of 19th century boots came in my mind, and I googled them - and wow! I felt like I finally figured out what wizards/witches wear for shoes.
