Okay, so here is the poll: Should I get a motorcycle [as planned] like a Suzuki GSX-R600 or Honda CBR 600RR, or should I get a CRX and pay insurance? Here are the details in each:

Cycle: I will prolly end up paying like $4-5k for the bike, helmet, jacket, gloves, and MRA course. Motorcycles are bad in rain, and dangerous anyways. They get better ( Read more... )

I'd say go with the motorcycle, preferably the CBR 600. Way more fun, and you can carry a passenger. I dunno, I've been riding Dirt Bikes since I was 10 so I was raised on two wheels.

no, you wont win. EVERYBODY who gets a CRX gets the damn integra engine for it...go with the bike, you oculd win mroe money in races. a CRX MAYBE tops out at 150 with all the stuff you mentioned...how do i know for sure? domonic (that scary 20 year old asian kid down the street) has a CRX with an integra switch. not that spiffy.

actually, most CRX swaps are JDM ZC swaps b/c they're cheaper and easier. and most Integra swaps into CRXs are not the C5. they are usually just B18C3 if Cs at all, meaning that they are the 160 horsepower LS/VTEC engine. I would be going with the Type-R engine. you know, the 8200 RPM, 210 HP engine from the Integra you can't get here.

or i could always use B16 heads on a B20 block and turbo it. which means torque out the ass. but i'd have to alter the tranny to have lower gear ratios and thats just not easy.

dude go with the bike. you can still have one passenger. you can still race (and win more). you add tons of shit to bikes to speed them up the same way you do cars. you can get the helmets that have fucking radios in them if it means that much to you, besides you listen to your little mp3 player and you could always stick little ear things in under the helmet. and bikes are fucking hot. i know all this i dated a guy with a CBR 600 and a 900 they were pimp as fuck. you can do wheelies on them, going 130, with a passenger (hopefully a light one so you don't flip) its fun as fuck! trust me babe, bikes are bad! and the dangerous thing, yeah they are dangerous, but the guy i dated that had one crashed his numerous times, he had one that had noz(sp?) and he crashed by some where in bartow and the bitch blew the fuck up but he had jumped of before hand so he was fine. i dunno if thats a good or bad example, but its still a bad ass story.

Good job on scaring the unearthly shit out of him with that story. I still say the bike though, a CBR 600 would kill your CRX. The CRX would get up and go faster. But the bike would catch up really quick. And like she said bikes are just fucking cooler.

actually, the bike would own it from the start. lighter+torque=accelleration.
and it didn't scare me, i know a guy who downed a bike at 140 and he's fine except for a scar.
