Hawaii is awesome, but not indicative of the US in any way. It's like another planet. With rainbows and prostitutes and cheap sushi. Well, that was my experience, ten years ago. XB

Rainbows and prostitutes and cheap sushi sounds fantastic; I've never tried sushi before!

I just managed to get a fairly cheap hotel in NYC for less than I did in Hawaii, so it doesn't seem too bad. Considering the last (and only) time I went to the US was to go to Disney World when I was 6, my memories are not particularly stellar!

omg suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuushi. I fucking LOVE sushi. It's becoming more commonplace here, but it's still an expensive dinner choice. In Hawaii, they have that shit at the quickie marts. Um which might not translate to Britglish but do you know what I mean? Corner stores. EVERYWHERE. For hella cheap. OM NOM.

I am so excited for you! Traveling is so awesome, and this country ain't ALL bad. ;)

I have no doubt that I will never want to leeeeeeeave, I had to cut my time in Hawaii down to 6 days instead of 7 in order to get everything else working and I was not impressed.
